Randy Palmer Benefit Shoot
As we look forward to other future events, it is our pleasure to announce that the Upper Snake River Bowmen will be able to host a benefit shoot to support a family who is currently facing some major misfortune.
Randy Palmer of Ashton was severely burned at work while spraying lacquer in a cabin in Island Park. While working in this cabin, a spark ignited the lacquer and caused an explosion. Randy was burned over 80% of his body. He was flown to Utah to be treated and faces a long road to recovery. Randy, who co-owns Upper Valley Painting, is a loving husband and father of six. He is the type of person who goes out of his way to help others in need. Randy is an active outdoorsman and bowhunter who has grown up spending much of his off-time in the mountains.
The USRB will be partnering with Cabelas, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Jensen Drywall, Greg Moffat Drywall, Kartchner Construction, Mountain Archery, Kevin Virgin Construction, Bank of Idaho and many others to put on this Benefit. There will be raffle prizes which include a Ruger 10-22 with 1000 rounds of ammo, a 2015 Hoyt Nitrum bow, a two room family sized tent and much more! We will start selling tickets at our upcoming shoots and other locations.
Several of Randy's friends from Island Park will be cooking their famous chicken dinner. Bring the entire family to help support this amazing family, have a good time with friends and try your hand at archery!
This event will take place on June 27th, after our Patriot Shoot at the Ashton Stake Center's Outside Pavillion starting at 6PM. If you would like to donate a prize or your time to this event, contact our Club President Ladd Reynolds 705-0708, or one of our Board Members. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, Upper Snake River Bowmen and our Website, for further information.
Please help support this event and this wonderful family and father.
